I had thought about making the next pod-cast after Cade as to set a tone for future pod-casts. He did an incredible job, most of the DJs or people I know lean towards the tech-house genre. I myself will play more 2-step tracks depending on where I am. My last live mix I recorded represents a more minimal and harder techno sound which I also play often, but I wanted to do something different - club anthem hits. My pod-cast-v1.1 was made in Berlin and I worked very hard at finding fresh tracks. %50 percent of the tracks were released in the past 2 weeks. It can be played loud, make the party, or it could be listened to while studying, working, and driving etc. I hope its a smooth, enjoyable, and brings pleasure into everyones daily or nightly lives.

DJ Cade

Cade: All forms of music inspire me, and I love the fact that more and more DJs are breaking genre boundaries, especially when the crowds are just as up for it! Everything from Miami bass, DnB, dub-step, to UK garage and 2-step will influence my sets, but I have always appreciated the fluidity of deep-house and techno. I try to create as liquid of a mix as possible using some of the heaviest bass out there without overwhelming things. Gabber is full of bass, but most people would pay not to listen to that shit.

This mix is a journey through underground bass music; where things are at the moment + where I think they’re headed. I was really excited to do this mix for mirror-space, and wanted to go deeper than a typical DJ set. Usually I try to showcase a range of styles and this mix has everything from dub-step and d’n’b to future-garage. I really think the 2-step and garage sound is coming back in a big way, and you can hear its influences in some of the biggest tracks of 2010, whether dub-step, electro, dutch, even drum & bass - this mix presents a slightly darker take on that sound.
